Meet the Team – Liliana Moreno

Meet Liliana. Liliana is one of our newest team members and works as a Quality Assurance Officer.

Liliana works closely with the production team to ensure that Diego’s best manufacturing processes are being adhered to. Ensuring every product that leaves the building has the correct flavour, size, weight and shelf life is an imperative part of Liliana’s role to maintain the high standard Diego’s is known for.

Having moved to Australia from Colombia, Liliana is part of a large multicultural group who loves dancing to Latin music.

“I invest time every week improving my dancing in Cuban Salsa (Rueda de Casino) and bachata and spending time with my friends. I also enjoy hiking and chasing waterfalls. There are so many beautiful places to explore on the Gold Coast and its surrounding areas. I also love reading and learning about health and nutrition.”

“Corn is a fundamental part of a South American diet and is more often eaten than wheat based products. My family and I often make “Arepas” which is a plain tortilla made from dry corn, boiled and milled. My favourite Diego’s product is of course the Corn Tortilla. They remind me of home in Columbia and they have a great texture. I love using them to make tacos using different fillings and meats .
