Nopalito Salad

  • 780g nopalito's (1 tin)

  • 180g fetta

  • 1 brown onion sliced

  • 1 clove garlic crushed

  • 1 tomato

  • 1 bunch coriander

  • 1 avocado sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Tip: Add El yucateco red habanero hot sauce if you like it spicy.


  1. Drain nopalitos, rinse in cold water strain excess water.
  2. In a saucepan cook onion and garlic until transparent.
  3. Add nopalitos and cook for another 3-4 min.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and cool down for 10 min.
  5. Dice tomato and fetta then add to nopalito’s.
  6. Stir through coriander, olive oil, salt & pepper.
  7. Heat Chapati as per packet instructions.
  8. Serve salad either on top of Chapati or on the side.
  9. Garnish with sliced avocado.
