Nestled on the lower Gold Coast Highway in the North Burleigh dining precinct, the owners of Margarita Cartel have brought their South American heritage and industry know-how to establish a restaurant reminiscent of the many dotting the coastal towns of Baja California and Mexico.
The menu has been specifically designed to perfectly compliment the Gold Coast lifestyle, offering a range of pequenos (Spanish for little) perfect for sharing, through to staples such as nachos, quesadilla, burrito and tacos.
“Our goal at Margarita Cartel is to recreate the unique taste and atmosphere Mexico has and to bring that to the Gold Coast,” says Owner Sandra.
“It was important to trial many different options when it came to sourcing our ingredients. We found the Diego’s product range to be the closest you can find to authentic street food cantina style; their taste is genuine and differs from other commercialised products found in Australia.
“We love supporting other businesses who also believe in sourcing locally and of course, supporting our local community.”
