2023 Usher Cup udate

The Usher Cup was created 3 years ago by one of the largest commercial painting and associated services companies in Australia, The Usher Group.

In 2020 they set out to create a unique hybrid surf contest, creating an event which recognised grass roots boardriders clubs, whilst identifying the countries best young talent. It’s fair to say those goals have been achieved with a number of Usher Cup winners now competing on the QS tour and in the WSL. Not only does this competition help local surfers show their talents, they also provide donations to 10 local charities in need.

This years Usher Cup was a smash hit! We saw some truly amazing talent out in the surf in both girls and boys heats, and ended up being able to hand over $10 000 cheques to each of the wonderful chosen charities who all do so much amazing work Serving Our People Inc. The Sanctuary Women, Children & Pets Refuge Friends With Dignity Ltd Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Arcadia College Volunteering Gold Coast Gold Coast Hospital Foundation The Village School Gold Coast Global Awakening World Mental Health Organisation. Yep you heard that right, $10,000 to each well deserving organisation! What an achievement!
