Latest News – Future Females Gold Coast Fundraiser

My daughter Haley and I attended the recent Future Females Gold Coast Fundraiser event for “The Sanctuary” at the Audi Centre and were blown away by the level of support the organisation garnered for women in our community.

The event was held to raise vital funds for “The Sanctuary”, a privately funded refuge that supports women, children and pets escaping domestic violence.

It was a wonderful evening for passionate members of the Gold Coast community to come together and support an incredibly important cause and we were thrilled to contribute in any way we could!

It was also an honour for us to be present for these women. Keynote speaker Kay Schubach, the NSW Domestic Violence Ambassador and Author shared her compelling story from her poignant memoir, The Perfect Stranger. Co-Host Shannen Simmons, a Gold Coast mother of four, business owner and a grand finalist in the Miss Diamond International beauty pageant shared her reasons for her passionate support of “The Sanctuary”.

There truly was not a dry eye in the audience!
