Meet Robert

Although Robert hasn’t been here long, he is already making strides and impacting Diego’s in a positive way. Robert is our new line supervisor, read on to find out a little bit more about himself and his duties at Diego’s!

Can you tell me a little bit about what you do at Diego’s?

Supervising in the afternoons mainly consists of keeping an eye on production and making any adjustments as issues arise, helping out staff with giving breaks, ensuring there’s enough cartons and pouches available during production and towards the end of the shift preparing packing room area and mixing room for the following days production.

What has been your favourite thing about joining the Diego’s team?

How welcome everybody has made me feel to be part of Diego’s from Management to all the staff it’s been an incredibly positive experience.

The training I’ve received has been great and I would like to thank all the staff who were involved in my training for their knowledge and patience, I’m still learning and hopefully making good progress.

Which Diego’s product is your favourite?

I really like the plain white 8” tortilla that way I can mix n match the ingredients for a bit of variety.

What activities do you like to do on the weekends?

Weekends are usually busy for me I sometimes help my wife attend markets where she sells pet treats and toys.

I have a 1969 XJ6 Jag that I’m starting to restore which is probably a 5yr project to finish and I’m decorating my house room by room, so always plenty on.

Have you always lived on the Gold Coast?

No I was born in the UK left there in 1974 moved to Christchurch NZ, grew up there got married and had 3 kids before having a holiday here on the Gold Coast loved it so much decided to sell up and move over that was back in 2005 been here ever since – Never regretted it.
